Our impact spans four interconnected areas — each reinforcing the others to create systemic change in migration governance.

  • Uganda National IDP Policy — technical input provided
  • IGAD Regional Migration Policy — represented civil society
  • African Union Policy Framework Review — submitted position paper

Our legal team has provided 2,300+ direct legal consultations and supported 18 strategic litigation cases — 12 of which resulted in favourable outcomes for migrants and displaced persons.

  • 480 individuals assisted with civil documentation
  • 230 asylum-seekers supported through application processes
  • 12 strategic cases with precedent-setting outcomes
  • 18 amicus briefs submitted to national and regional courts

Our 18 published reports have been cited in parliamentary debates, UNHCR annual reports, and AU migration policy documents — translating field evidence into policy change.

  • 18 major research reports and policy briefs
  • 4 peer-reviewed academic journal articles
  • Cited in 3 UNHCR country reports
  • Knowledge Hub: 5,000+ resource downloads

Capacity & Community

Over 600 individuals have been trained across 48 workshops — building lasting local capacity that continues to protect migrant rights long after our direct involvement ends.

  • 350+ community paralegals trained in 5 countries
  • 48 training workshops and capacity sessions delivered
  • 12 civil society organisations strengthened
  • 240 government officials trained on refugee law
